FINALS INFORMATION

Good evening, parents!

Here is a lot of information about finals including three attachments.  Please read it all through carefully.

Thank you,

Jen

VOLUNTEERS:

Check times to see when your volunteering assignment starts. Morning volunteers need to be at the pool in time for their officials meeting at 7:30 AM. The middle and afternoon volunteers need to be there by 10:45 AM.

ALL:

Spectator seating.

  • There are 8 blocks of seating available on deck. The first 3 blocks are in front of the pool we will be utilizing over the weekend.
  • Each section of seats is 12 seats across and 10 rows deep. Some sections only have 9 seats going up, due to stairs. So each section has about 120 seats.

Scorekeeping Stage.

  • After the meet they had last weekend it was thought to have a better flow of traffic and to also give the scorekeepers a complete view of the pool if the score stage was moved in front of the Mark Lenzi mural.

Clerk of Course.

  • It was also discussed at the meeting and while I was at the pool it would provide swimmers a larger space and direct pathway to the blocks if we locate it on the scoreboard side near the bleachers.
  • There is a walking path between pools where the flags and lifeguard stand are in the image below, so the swimmers would be able to travel that to get to and from the clerk area.

Time Drops.

  • Please make sure that each button being used has some sort of identifier so we can ensure each button makes it back home to the correct team.
  • We are currently working on getting the giant scoreboard to display Timedrops live. We are currently having issues with the image on the scoreboard being too large for the screen. So we are trouble shooting that to hopefully have it ready for Finals.

Facility Notes.

  • At NO point during the meets are we allowed to have any of the exit doors on deck open. This has been passed down from the fire marshall.
  • There is a doorway that leads to the hallway that has family restrooms and locker rooms. This will be how everyone enters and exits the pool.
  • At NO point should anyone be sitting on the retaining walls in front of the seating.
